Adult Awards Overview
Show volunteers they are noticed and appreciated by thanking adults who make a difference with a nomination for a GSUSA award. Official paperwork must be filled out and turned into the overseas committee recognition chair or overseas committee designee. Packets are due at USAGSO–WP headquarters by March 8. Appreciation Pin is presented for outstanding service to a overseas committee or program delivery audience.
Honor Pin is presented for outstanding service to two or more overseas committees or program delivery audiences.
Juliette Gordon Low World Friendship Medal is granted to individuals and councils who have enhanced and progressed the understanding of the global aspects of Girl Guiding and Girl Scouting, which empowers girls to be global citizens.
Membership Numeral Guards and Years of Service Pins recognize registered adult members for years of active volunteer service at 5 year intervals, starting at 5 years. Members can purchase pins at the USAGSO–WP stores. For years 20 and above, USAGSO–WP provides pins free of charge and are presented at the annual recognition event.
President's Award recognizes top-performing overseas committees that have achieved their USAGSO–WP goals during the membership year.
Thanks Badge is the highest honor an adult can receive. The candidate has provided truly outstanding service that has benefited the entire USAGSO–WP region and furthers the overall mission and goals.
Thanks Badge II is presented to candidates who already received the Thanks Badge and have continued to provide outstanding service at the USAGSO–WP level.
Volunteer of Excellence recognizes volunteers who have contributed outstanding service while partnering directly with girls in any pathway to implement the Girl Scout Leadership Experience through use of the National Program Portfolio or who have contributed outstanding service in support of USAGSO-WP’s mission delivery to girl and adult members.
